Tabulens for Android

Tables from a messenger, email or the file manager open right on your phone: with filters, search, comparison and export. The file stays on the device.

Download Tabulens.apk Open in the browser

APK · 2.0 MB · Android 8 or newer. The app is signed; updates install over it.

Opens from Share

Pick a file in WhatsApp, Telegram, email or the file manager and choose “Open with” → Tabulens. DBF, Excel, ODS, CSV, XML, JSON, SQLite, Access, ZIP.

The same client as the website

Filters, statistics, two-file comparison, value checks, export to Excel and CSV — the same tools as in the browser and on Windows.

No network

Everything is built into the app. Requests to anything other than its own files are refused, so a file cannot leave the phone.

Save where you want

Results are saved through the system “Save as” dialog; links to the website open in your browser.

How to install

  1. Download Tabulens.apk from this page to your phone.
  2. Open the downloaded file. Android asks once to allow installing from this source — allow it.
  3. Start Tabulens, or open any table file through “Open with”.

Checksum

To make sure the file is intact and unchanged, compare the SHA-256 of the file you downloaded:

Your file never leaves your computer. Parsing happens in the browser, in a background thread. The page's security policy forbids sending data to third-party addresses — you can check this in the developer tools. After the first visit the app keeps working offline.

FAQ

Are my files uploaded?

No. The file is read on the phone, and the app cannot reach the network: any request other than its bundled files is refused. What the site and the app process overall is listed in the privacy policy.

Why isn't it on Google Play?

For now the app is distributed as an APK from this website; it is not on Google Play. The file is signed and updates install over the previous version.

Is installing an APK safe?

Download only from this site and compare the checksum. Android asks for permission to install from a source once; you can revoke it later in the settings.

Is there a size limit?

Large files open as in the browser but depend on the phone's memory. For tables with many millions of rows the Windows version is more comfortable.

Is it free?

Yes. It has the same free and Pro limits as the web app; a Pro key works in the browser, on Windows, in VS Code and in this app.
